Off-duty Police Officer
What is an off duty officer ?
In short, off-duty police service is when a business or individual hires sworn police officers, outside their normal shifts, to provide a higher level of security presence and law enforcement authority than private security typically can not.
Sworn police officers (those with full law enforcement authority) work outside of their regular duty hours.
They are paid by Roze Security, but they still retain their police powers (ability to enforce laws, make arrests, etc.).
Common Uses of Off-Duty Police
Event security (concerts, festivals, parades, sporting events).
Private property protection (apartment complexes, malls, construction sites, hospitals).
VIP or executive protection in certain cases.
Benefits of Off-Duty Police Service
Higher deterrence value because of the officer’s authority and training.
Rapid response if a crime or emergency occurs.
Professionalism since officers are trained in de-escalation, law, and use of force.
